Why This Name?
Does anyone remember the Last Train to Trancentral?
Does anyone remember What Time Is Love? (live at trancentral)
Does anyone remember Trancentral at all?
When I was looking for a domain hosting my Open Source Projects I was playing around with words and it came to my mind, that the word Source ends in the same way than Trance. I registered trancentral.orgin 1999 and I often had to explain, why the CE was is it only once.
So I decided to register sourcentral.org as well and made it the home of my Software Projects.
The colours and layout of sourcentral.org are heavily inspired by savannah.gnu.org but I do not want to start a similar system. And it is not a new freshmeat and not another sourceforge.
It is named sourcentral but it is only for my few projects.
